These lovely earrings take their pattern from the eastern tiger swallowtail butterfly.  Though common, swallowtail butterflies are fascinating, inhabiting every continent except Antarctica and including over 550 species!  Also, this butterfly's wing span can reach up to 5.5 inches! 
 
I hand make each individual piece of jewelry so each piece may vary slightly from what is pictured, perhaps in the hook color or the relative size of the butterfly wing.
